Privacy Policy

JSON Keyper is run by one person, Ashish Singh. This page explains exactly what data leaves your browser when you use the site, where it goes, and how to opt out.

No Data Storage

JSON Keyper does not store any user data. Any JSON you paste into the tool is processed entirely in your own browser and never leaves your machine. This means that I do not collect, store, or share pasted JSON. Your privacy is completely protected while using the paste-JSON flow.

One detail for completeness: when you switch from one tool to another with JSON already pasted, the JSON is held for a moment in your browser's sessionStorage so the next tool can pick it up. It stays in that browser tab, is never sent anywhere, and is deleted as soon as the next page reads it.

cURL Proxy Feature

The Execute cURL tab works differently, because browsers block direct cross-origin requests. When you execute a curl command there, the parsed request (URL, method, headers, and body) is sent to a Cloudflare Worker I operate, which fetches the target API on your behalf and returns the response to your browser. This is the only feature on JSON Keyper that transmits data off your device.

The Worker does not log or persist requests or responses - it has no database and no storage, and each request is handled statelessly. It only reaches public http and https addresses (it refuses localhost and other private/internal addresses), enforces a 5-second timeout, and caps responses at 2 MB. If you paste a cURL command containing a bearer token, API key, or other credential in its headers or body, that credential is included in the request sent through the Worker to reach the API you specified - avoid pasting commands containing credentials for services you do not trust this feature with.

Google Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to measure usage, such as which pages are viewed, for how long, and from which country and type of device. I use it to see which tools and guides are useful and which are not. Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_*) that assign your browser a random identifier, so it can tell a returning visitor from a new one; it does not tell me your name or email address, and the JSON you paste is never sent to it. Advertising (Google AdSense)

This site uses Google AdSense to show advertisements. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info. If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they will not be based on your browsing history.

Cookies

JSON Keyper itself does not set any cookies - the tool and the guides work without them. The cookies you may see on this site are set by the Google Analytics and Google AdSense scripts described above. You can block or delete them in your browser settings; the tool keeps working if you do.
